With all of the holidays, you may have thought that last week was big in the world of drinks. However, there is just as much going on this week that you may want to check out. I want to point out two in particular and you can find more on the growing calendar of events here.
- Deadline for Tales of the Cocktail Official Cocktail - The last day to submit your original cocktails to this annual competition is Monday, February 22. This year they are looking for the best version of Planter's Punch and the winning drink will be the official cocktail of this year's Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans this July. Don't think this will be an easy challenge, extreme creativity will be necessary to impress the judges. Find more information on TalesOfTheCocktail.com.
- Stir It 28: Food Bloggers (and cocktails) for Haiti - The latest benefit for earthquake relief in Haiti is taking place in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, and Atlanta on Sunday, February 21. Cocktail and food bloggers from around the country have organized these events and each is going to have some fantastic food and drink.
